There was never a moment that the queen was not a Queen. But there were many, many moments when she forgot what she was.

She thought she wasn’t when she did not have gold, or a crown, or a palace. Or a king.

When she looked in the mirror and saw an ordinary face with an average body, and too many bad hair days.

When there was no one who believed in her. Sometimes not even herself.
