About the Artist

Marichit Garcia is a self-taught, late-blooming artist from the Philippines. Her work is a fairy tale world in pieces, slowly being stitched together one artwork, one poem, one story fragment at a time. 

 

Art and writing have been her safe space as she battled depression and anxiety through the long years of her life.

She works full-time as an artist and is employed full-time in a transformative communications agency. She currently lives with and supports her parents, a sibling, twenty rescued cats, and a turtle.
