A Spell for Returning to Myself

Salt of my tears,
Ash of my silence,
Bone of my body that refuses to break,
I call you back.
By root and river,
By breath and blood,
By the secret fire curled like a serpent
in the hollow of my chest, I call me back.
No shadow shall unmake me,
No storm shall strip me bare.
I am the ember that will not die,
the wild root that drinks the dark
and grows toward light regardless.
So shall it be.
